Scott BarefootOn January 14th at 6pm, LCMS U (formerly LCM) will host Scott Barefoot on the campus of SIUE in the Morris University Center Conference Room to discuss his struggle to overcome homosexuality and his efforts to help others who are struggling either personally, as a friend, or with a family member. We invite you to this timely and FREE event! Hear him speak and stay afterward to ask your questions. All are truly welcome!

Scott is co-author of the book, Forgive Us Our Sins: Homosexuality in the Light of God’s Truth, and has articles featured in Forward in Christ magazineentitled “My Cross to Bear” and “Desperate for God,” January 2008 and May 2010. Over the past several years he has traveled extensively, sharing his story with many Lutheran congregations, at pastors’ conferences, high schools, colleges, and seminaries.

Scott will share his personal perspective on this timely topic as well as God’s Word and some commonly misquoted scripture passages that defenders of homosexuality use and twist to their will. At the end of his presentation there will be a time for questions.

This is a unique opportunity to receive a powerful perspective on a topic that is in the headlines daily. You are all invited to come and bring those who you feel might benefit from this information. You may also find more information about Scott and the work he does at his website www.POGLutherans.org.

Scott resides in Milwaukee, WI and is a member in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). His organization is called People of Grace, an online support group for Christians and the friends and family of Christians who are struggling with same-sex-attraction.
